Impact

This is a mock-up of an outer cover for workshop participants’ journal. It is was originally designed as full die cut letters, but due to technical challenges we changed to spot and partial die cutting of the word.

The original concept was based around the programme name ’Inspire’. This changed later to ’Impact’ but we kept the visual analogy. The client insisted on the use of a light bulb as a visual representation as they felt it was the perfect metaphor.

To reduce the cliché I derived my design from the filament of a light bulb, which can also be interpreted as a stretched figure. This echoes invigoration, energy, etc.
