I wasn’t going to let a good opportunity pass by so that I also embarked in painting this giant portrait of Daz Crawford. I used the same rough hessian as I did for the body cast, which was a costly decision as it damaged my whole set of brushes. Despite the very open weave of the coarse hessian, I believe I achieved some wonderful degradés and shadows. I guess you can tell by now: I do like painting portraits!
